What information is processed?

The fields you submit in business addition, ownership claim, correction and review forms are used to create a review record. These records are not automatically published. Do not submit private or sensitive information that the form does not require.

Location and external links

Your location is obtained only with your permission. It is kept in this tab for up to 15 minutes to find nearby businesses and let you share it with the business you choose; it is not added to a form application. A location link is passed outside the site only when you choose copy, share or WhatsApp. The map in a business profile opens automatically, connects to OpenStreetMap and shows the recorded business location. Directions open Google Maps, while a website link opens the relevant business’s website.

Cookies and measurement

Google Analytics loads only when you allow analytics cookies. It measures pages visited and the type of use of phone, WhatsApp and directions buttons. Form fields, phone numbers, search queries, URL parameters and shared precise location are not included in this measurement. Ad personalisation and Google signals are disabled. Your preference is stored in this browser for up to 90 days; you can change it using the Cookie preferences button at the bottom of the page. Google Analytics uses analytics cookies according to its own retention settings. A location obtained with permission is kept in short-term tab storage and can be removed with Clear location. Form records are not served from a directory accessible to the browser.

Information to complete before publication

The operator must determine the data controller’s identity, the enquiry channel, retention period and operation in the actual publication environment, and update this statement accordingly.
